As a rather uneducated person in regards to tyres, I have a simple question- I see that they are a recomission of vintage/classic design to fit with sports and exotic cars from the 70s... are they exact same or similar to restomod in that they are same look/feel but updated tech or materials?

Of course they use current technology and newly-developed rubber compounds, the manufacturer has to make sure they are safe and perform at least as well as the originals, so whilst they look the same, the new units are much better.

Having had the experience of driving my earlier Countachs on the original P7s of the 80s, and driving my current car on the newly-minted Cinturato P7s, I can tell you that the new units are vasty superior in terms of both ride-quality & handling to me.

They should be better because tyre manufacturers are using more clever compounds

they should be more consistent because tyre factories have better quality control

And they should look cool because Pirelli are good at that.
