    yah i think it reduces the airflow under the car to keep the front end from lifting, going too fast in these stream lined cars always has a bad side to it......gotta increase downforce yup yup :)

    It's called a diffuser. It causes the air underneath the car to accelerate, thereby reducing airpressure and adding down force.
