Beyond the nose? It looks great to me & I really like the color. What is the difference between the S & SV nose?

The SV front bonnet has a different front bumper and marker lights and side profile (indents at end of bumper are round instead of pointed). This car has SV headlights as well. SV bonner fender lips are a little different too. Front bonnet profile is a bit rough...especially below the bumper. Panel gaps and body lines need work. For example, in the photo above, look at the body line that goes from just below the door handle to the rear turning into the wheel arch. See where it doesn't line up at the panel gap between the tub and the rear bonnet? Stuff like that all adds up. Wheel spinners are supposed to be painted matte silver. The interior leather is wrong sheen and texture and filling is too cushiony and round. I don't want to knock it...it's a nice car. But, not a concours restoration.

4245 is a much better car to start from, so I am optimistic. 4707 had been subjected to an exterior and interior color change, many ownership changes, and probably at least one front collision before this most recent restoration. 4707 would need a very good shop with specialized tooling to get it just right.

    Agreed.

Although, if I was a restorer and I was asked to restore a P400S with an SV nose, I think I'd insist n the nose going back to S

Colour should be Champagne not bright gold. At the end of production they only had SV front clips in stock from Bertone so crash-damaged cars received SV fronts rather than proper P400 or S fronts as a quick swap-over rather than beating out bent metal. Obviously no eyelashes, and as the SV wheelarches on rear clamshell were flared to accommodate wider wheels and track, the SV's front wheelarch flanges were reduced in width and lips reprofiled to complement new headlamp treatment and revised rear styling.

We have a pic of a pile of SV fronts in bare ally stockpiled at the factory in the early 70s.

I didn't want to be the one to say it but a P400S with an SV nose speaks to an accident big enough to throw away the old P400S hood.

That said, I have seen the vice versa scenario in several SVs that had P400 front hoods applied as repairs from accidents in the 80s and 90s when the factory's stock of SV hoods you refer to ran out.
