Yes! That is our former Miura S. Sold earlier this year to a Miura collector in Japan. The Blu color captivated everyone who encountered it!

Was there any reason he had 2?

Because he was a Rock Superstar living in a free country ;)

Seriously though, later on he had 2 Miura SVs, one in the UK and one in the USA at the same time.

Thank you very much! Do you know why it used to have ( #5110) 3 different licence plates through the years?

    :)

Great info! Thank you. The owner must be very lucky. 1 of 4 in that colour?

I think the Germans should have hired a certain Gandini to draw their Bugatti.

    Hi,

I´m still reading through this thread, which takes quite some time.. at the moment past page 500 though! There is very much interesting information to be gathered! My first contribution is here as well, found an old magazine of mine, the first magazine my dad ordered for me in the late 80´s. It´s in Swedish, but I´ll post the story as well, some new pictures for you. The featured car is a Miura S, no indication of the VIN, if not someone know the car from the reg. plate.

5110 has had more than 3 licence plates. AFAIK it initially had 3 different Italian owners, who all had the car registered on different numbers. Sold to Switzerland, then to Sweden and then back to Switzerland to the current long time English owner, who may (?) have had it Swiss registered as well as UK registered, which was initially on age related UK plate TGF 104L and now re-registered with the fitting vanity plate 73 SV.

You will enjoy the excellent information on individual Miura history, where known, here.

5110 has had @ 8 different license plates on it, not that unusual for a car of it's age.

Here is the article, It might be the same story as in "Motor Klassik".

On interesting part in the article is that the writer refers that the Miura engine was in the time designed in secrecy by Honda? The writer states that the Honda Formula 1 engine at the time had similar configuration and was used as reference.

    Hi All,

Looking for any historical images of Miura SV #4928. Originally in White over Blue. The car was painted Dark Violet Blue during the 1990s.

    Thank you!!

I've only ever seen images of it in the purple which you surely have lots of, this car was offered to me @ 12 years ago but at the time the seller then seemed to change his mind!

Perhaps a long-shot but someone who might have images of it in white may be Herbert Engel, I believe he used go own it with his partner Herbert Rheinars in the 1980s when they ran ER Sportwagen GmbH of Bad Breisig (I think my old images show the car with their noted ER sticker on the car's rear panel) and I do believe you can still contact Engel at Sportwagen Engel GmbH, Schlossstraße 52, Burgschmiede, Namedy 56626 Andernach, Germany, +49 (0)2632 42410 or +49 (0)171 3603877

White is a pure and timeless color and pretty rare as only @ 9 SVs were completed in Bianco 2-441-018 by the Sant Agata works from 1971 to 1973, it will look as the Italians say, Spettacolare.

White with blue leather and gold wheels and sills is absolutely stunning. That's how SV #4830 was originally and when we bought it.

    #3676 (ex Twiggy Miura).

The owner's son states in the Classic Cars magazine offshoot, Cool Collectors Cars, that the above Miura was initially LHD. This was originally a P400, production number 243, that became production number 526, when converted to a P400S by the factory.

Correct, this is well-known, so stated in an Auto Italia article @ 20 years ago I think, please correct me if I'm wrong (I'm not in a place I can check my records) but I think the car was originally white.
