    Today the Miura arrived. Here are some pictures. The driver Mike, had me steer the car out of the transporter (power off) and then drive off when the lift reached the floor. It was a little bit of a tight fit, he was transporting a 1928 Rolls Royce underneath it that has a fairly high roof line and he was worried that the car would not clear (he was avoiding having to take it out, it was not running). Needless to say I was sweating bullets. Those trucks look big and are big, but inside there's not a lot of room with all of the lifts, supports, cars, etc. My wife took the pictures.

    Here's the sequence of pictures and running commentary:
    1) Truck arrives (It's here !!!!!!!!);
    2) I'm in the car backing it up (Jeez, I'm sweating bullets, is thing going to drop??, Please don't let me hit anything or F this up.......);
    3) Steering onto the lift (Is this thing going to come off the lift and come crashing down??);
    4) Danger averted, wew!! That's me with the silly grin on my face as the lift is lowered.

    I have to give a big thumbs up to Fred Coller and the Driver Mike of Concours Transport. They did a great job transporting the car. Mike was extremely careful with the vehicle and a very nice guy. Fred and Mike are both car fans. They had a very nice, clean, modern rig, stuck to the original dates, kept me informed during the period, did everything right. Highly recommended.

    Congrats!!

    Wow, I'm surprised that they had you drive it out of the lift! I have never done that - It would seem to be a liability issue or something.

    what about one pic at a stop light next to some Soccer mom
    or some other daily driving situation, that would make it look even more other-worldly
    please we need more pics
    that's my #1 dream car ever.
    why they only built about 700? blame it on the Countach.

    Thanks everyone.

    I am having a few minor items addressed on the car, including changing all fluids. I then intend to put some miles on it afterwards, get a sense for the car, etc. and then take it back to do some more things, such as putting in a halon fire system (these cars are known for carburator fires) and a few other things.

    I will certainly post more on it as I get more familiar with the car, including driving impressions. How about a picture next to an H2 or something like that?

    Excellent decision. I think we've all seen too many Lambo's that have gone up in flames.

    Having said that, I hope you never have to use it.
