  1. Not much to report. Steel sleeves and torque plates
being made for the engine. Jason said about 60 % of my cylinders badly scored. No particular pattern just random. He was wondering how long
these aluminum cylinder walls would have lasted anyway? They will be good after he is done.

The clutch is being designed. It will be 3 disc carbon no Kevlar.
The manufacturer says Kevlar is not turning out to be the
wonder material as everyone initally thought.
I don't have the price yet but I'll probably get a group of extras made.

  3. :( That's not good! This car is one of maybe three models I've lusted after in the past ten years... If this is true high mileage second had purchases would seem to be out of the question.

Didn't a large number of other manufacturers have problem with Nicasil/aluminum cylinder walls? Jag on the early supercharged XJRs and also BMW on a few of their models?
  4. How many miles on the car, Wayne?

  5. I know jason said Ford and GM tried them unsuccessfully. My only has 12000 miles on it.

The cause who knows? Piston rings that could cause this if all the marks were in the same location but they are NOT.Dirt in the engine would do this. He is going to
completely clean the intakes etc. Maybe we can get a clue there?
