    Dear Lamborghini enthusiasts,

Let's share all the vintage pics we've got of the first generation Countach, the LP400.

Not only for the beauty of a timeless car, there are several details making a 1974 LP400 different from a 1975's or 1976's...
Moreover, from the original 150 units, no two cars were exactly alike!
And think of the rainbow colors of the production back then, with different shades of Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple, Brown, Gold...
    Let's admire this all together.

Photos from the production era (1974-1977) are the best... still you can post here cool shots taken throughout the 80s (or even during the 90s if you think the photo is worth a look).

Please, connect your scanner to your PC. Those old photographs in the dusty albums are worth millions sparkles in our eyes! ;)

Here we begin with the French #1120048 when new in Paris, early 1975...
then later on through the eye of Helmut Newton, near Lyon, circa 1976.

  9. I like the plate numbers drawn on the bumper.

  10. I read some years ago that these pictures, except from the one in the barn, were taken in Cognac, France. I think they were published on the Autodrome site.

This thread is just up my street(!) and wish I had more suitable photos to post but the pics I have of the car in the '70s are not that great and I dont have any street scenes which is what I most enjoy. But here is an oldish pic of my car in about 1988 on the Highveld.

Thanks for posting pics so far.

  19. Epic ,imagine stumbling upon this Countach parked in a side street kinda like a daily driver, back 40years ago.

  20. Yellow ,extremely fitting on the lp400

  21. Almost all the images posted so far are already in the Countach, the ultimate supercar thread http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/lamborghinichat-com-sponsored-cats-exotics/163765-countach-ultimate-supercar.html but its a nice idea to put them all in one place.

The search function is helpful, if you type in "Countach, the ultimate supercar" and add "LP400" you'll get hundreds of LP400 vintage photo results which you can feel free to consolidate over here.

  26. Thanks!

You understand why I asked about the vin.

The photo is taken at the factory in 1977. No doubt about that.

It really seems to be a black LP400.

How many black LP400 were rebuilt to WW-lookalikes at the factory in 1977?
And we can assume that the rebuild was made at this place as the car still is not totally assembled.

I am now even more convinced that my theory about that #1120022 got its conversion at the factory and already in the year 1977.

Any more pics? I miss the car today and would never had built it back to its original form.

    Kind regards,

    L-E

  27. Any more pictures around of #1120022 when it was registered in Frankfurt?
Who was the owner in Frankfurt? I´m located there so maybe i know the previous owner.
