  3. It depends on the kind of look you'd want to project. Black rims, especially 5-spokes for a track-tool kind of look..( It doesn't work with latticed/cross-spokers like BBS or anything with a pronounced lip ) or Chrome/Polished lip with black centres for an evil/devilish/cool/fast-road look. 4. The GTR has race wheeles so a chrome lip isnt an option. As far as the street cars it just depends on what you like.

  5. Black wheels need the high polish lip in my opinion..

    Striking good looks that way.

All black is too dark. IMHO

    Good luck.

  6. Agreed. All black wheels are so dark you can't see what they look like. They might as well be a steel spare out of the trunk of an oldsmobile...

  9. black with chrome lip looks the best

  10. No question Black with chrome lip. Just a matter of opinion though

  11. got to put in a push for ALL BLACK.
the polished lip looks 'blingy' IMHO.
    ALL BLACK looks very serious!
alternative: consider solid very dark anthracite/charcoal
    (isn't this a factory option?)

    ALL BLACK! (imho)

  13. Without the chrome lip, unfortunately, most black rims cheapen the look of the car...

    IMO

All black isn't as cool as it sounds. I had all black wheels on my black Corvette for a while. It looked like a sad reproduction of the batmobile. Took them off and had the rims painted bright silver (leaving the black centers) and it looks much better.

  15. AMGgirl ... that car is SICK! ... the only color I prefer over a black 55 is a white one ... BLACK with CHROME is the way to go ... just ordered some 22"s black w/chrome for the Rover ... suprisingly they were half the cost of my HRE's on the Porsche??? ... weird.

  16. Find a picture of SP Engineering's Orange 6.0. The rims on that are exceptional.

  17. The chrome lip looks better than without it, but black rims take away from the looks of a car IMO.

  18. Holy crap!! Every single pic i try to post of some rims i get a message that says cannot upload bmp files.
Does anyone have a closeup pic of the types of rims i mentioned so we can see which look better??

Also i like the black with chrome lip but i dislike the rims that that have those bolts around it like the pic of the gt (first picture).
I like the black rims with chrome lip without the bolts around it like in (pic 2 silver diablo).

    What do you guys think?

  19. not on the 550/575GTC's!

    still (respectfully) disagree....
but, that's why they made black krylon & steel wool, right?

  21. I am going thru the same thing for my C2 Turbo too and i am pretty much decided to go with Kinesis K-58/Fikse FM 5 with black centers and polished lip.

  23. thats right the race cars have solid black wheeles, so if you have or want that look you have answered your own question, thats why the GTR has the solid black wheeles. It would'nt look correct with polished wheeles.

  24. All black.

  25. Anyone have a picture of Fat Joe's black Bentley Gt with blach & chrome wheels??
