Battery Location 01 Diablo?

Discussion in 'Lamborghini Discussion (not model specific)' started by racerdj, May 8, 2004.

  1. I am missing temporarly the owners manual and would like to know where the battery is located? The car has only been driven 1000 miles in the last 30 months. If the prior owner cannot locate the owners manual, any suggestions how to replace them?

  3. Dave, the battery is located inside the rear left wheelarch. There is also an isolator switch in the engine bay.Use this to cut-off all power if the car is going to be sitting for more than 2-3 days. There are 7 computers that are drawing power.
  4. Also...let the car sit about 5 minutes before turning the kill switch off. After you turn the ignition off the car goes through a series of tests to orient itself before putting itself to sleep.
  5. Good point Steve.
  6. Now there's something I didn't know. It sucks fuel as much as it does battery life. Alright.... quite possibly a stupid question:

Could the battery be put on a trickle charger? Or would the on/off charging current play havok with Lambo's computer modules?

  8. Yes,it can go on a trickle,no problem.
  9. I'm having the trickel charger connection installed when they change all fluids soon.
  10. There are also jump points in the engine bay for you to put a trickle charger on till you get the battery tender installed. They are on the drivers side of the engine bay and pretty easily accessible.
