THIS IS IT!! WHAT YOU’VE WAITED ALL YEAR FOR –
THE LAMBORGHINI CLUB AMERICA ANNUAL NATIONAL MEET

The New Lamborghini Concept Car will be featured at the Concorso Italiano.
More Lamborghinis, lots of Lambo friends, the Concorso Italian,
Historic Auto Races at Laguna Seca, the Pebble Beach Concours de’ Elegance

This year there will be a Running of the Bulls (Giro Roadster) organized by the factory from Reno, Nevada to Monterey. If you are interested, contact Jim Heady, Lamborghini Club America, voice: 925-253-9399, e-mail: heady@lamboghiniclub.com

    WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 17th
Club members will be staying at the Mariposa, the Hilton Resort Hotel, the Carmel Hill Motor Lodge and the Steinbeck Lodge, all in Monterey – see the enclosed Accommodations information. There will be an early bird, casual get-together at Tarpy’s Road House in Monterey for our annual wine testing and game dinner.

    THURSDAY, AUGUST 18th
Thursday morning, we go to Pebble Beach and watch the cars that will appear at the Sunday Pebble Beach Concours start their driving tour of the Monterey Peninsula; we go then to Carmel where the main street is closed off as these cars arrive for lunch – very exciting and a great way to see these fantastic cars actually running. Then we visit the various auction houses that are set up next to the starting gate of this driving tour.

Lamborghini Welcome Back Dinner — A casual affair at the Laguna Seca Golf Club, a time to see old friends and to make new Lamborghini friends.

    FRIDAY, AUGUST 19th
The Annual Concorso Italiano at a new more convenient location, the Black Horse Golf Course at Monterey Bay in Seaside— If you attended the show before, you know how beautiful the cars looked. This show has grown to be the finest and largest display of Italian marques in the world. Don’t miss it, it is a sight to behold. There are food and beverages for purchase on the Concorso green. Within the Concorso Italiano, LAMBORGHINI CLUB AMERICA has its own concours and judging, in addition to participating in the Concorso Italiano judging. If you show your car on Friday, you must attend the Club’s Saturday night Awards Banquet to win a Club Concorso award.

Go to www.concorso.com to order spectator ticket and to register your Lamborghini for the Concorso. Car Exhibitor’s fees are $75 thru May, $100 after June 1st, $160 after July 1st, and $250 after Aug. 1st if space is available. Advanced spectator’s tickets are $85 each April 1 thru July 29th, and $100 thereafter and at the gate on the day of the Concorso.

YOU MUST REGISTER IN ADVANCE TO SHOW YOUR LAMBORGHINI AT THE
CONCORSO ITALIANO. YOU CAN REGISTER ON LINE AT www.concorso.com

We want all Lamborghinis to be in the Concorso Italiano. This is a fun concours, so don’t be squeamish if your car is not perfect – the idea of the show is for everyone to enjoy all the makes and models. The Club has an on site detailer, Club member Scott Reiner, available again this year to detail your car. An advanced appointment is
required - Scott’s number is 520-230-7099, e-mail reiner49@cox.net , web site www.autounltd.com. Scott will be detailing all day Thursday and into the night to get Lambos ready for the Concorso Italiano!

    FRIDAY NIGHT, AUGUST 19th
After the Concorso, we return to our hotels, relax and then gather at the Mariposa for a glass of wine on the terrace before caravanning to Cannery Row in Monterey for dinner at the Culinary Center of Monterey - a real gourmet’s treat! We had the Friday night dinner there last year and it was a big hit. This event is limited to the first 100 sign-ups! We sell this event out every year – please sign up early – this is a great event!

    SATURDAY, AUGUST 20th

We will have vans to transport us to the concours and take us back to Poppy Hills in comfort At Pebble Beach, it is next to impossible to find safe parking (or not end up on the dirt). At Poppy Hills, you park in a paved area in protected parking spaces.

As you can see, there APPEARS to be no leg running from southern California to the event. If there is, it is the best kept secret since the Stealth Fighter.

In case there's not, I am working with other community members on the prospect of putting an event together for possible departure on Wednesday, August 17th, with an overnight in San Luis Obispo or Pismo Beach, followed by the final push to Monterey, for arrival Thursday night.

Would like to gauge interest among those who peruse this board.

I will be contacting the Headys today to see if they are aware of any unofficial southern legs in the works and will share this info when I receive it.
