Took the car in for a sticking drivers window and a few
factory updates. Platinum said clutch is or should be good for another 10,000
or eleven thousand miles. Not bad considering all the performance launches I've done. I wonder what the clutch life normally is on Ferrari F1?

Good to see another person who drive his car.

Gallardo clutch life estimate seem to be the same as the 360. My Ferrari service manager said the 360 clutch should last a bit over 20k miles. I had mine replaced at about 31,000 miles.

bunch of little stuff since mine was`an early car, rusting screws, covers
for coils etc nothing major my e-gear computers were already changed. My car is #649.

Have you had F cars before? I've had 7 and NONE compare for reliability or performance in my opinion.

I had 3 before, the 328 and the testarossa were about the same in reliability, the latter of course much more $ to run. In the 120 miles that I have driven the Gallardo all I can say is that I feel this car is making me much happier than any Ferrari I have driven, including the 360 6 speed and F1. One thing I find wierd is that my car books do not tell me the breaking in procedure. How did you do the breaking in of your gallardo?

How expensive/cheaper is E-gear Gallardo's clutch service cost, compare to F1 on Ferrari.

As difficult as it was I took it easy for the first 500 miles. I think my dealer told me the first 1000 miles. Vary thye rpm brief spurts of power etc
